Projects - Chesa Andrea, Madulain

Chesa Andrea

Location: Madulain     Year: 1999

This house has grown over the centuries. The oldest part constitutes a fragment of a medieval tower. The owners of the building could be persuaded to leave the enormous hay barn as one spacious entity. It is now like a piazza and provides breathing space for the somewhat introverted house.

On the whole, measures were limited to restorative work. However, some building did take place and a large, larch-wood bedroom was installed in the roof space as an independent self-supporting element.
